• Business group: GBME - Commodities, FX Options & Derivatives Technology: Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers Scotiabank’s Corporate and Investment Banking and Capital Markets businesses.
• Project: New Products implementation / Acceleration in FX modernization program

Typical Day in Role:
Analyze highly complex FX Options requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex data schema.
Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

10 years in Capital Markets as a Business Analyst (Trading, Risks, Back Office, Regulation)

3-5 years of expertise in Front office.

3-5 years of Experience with FX Options

2+ Experience design, develop, and implement ETL tools

2+ Experience using in-demand languages and technologies (e.g. - Python, Java, C etc.) to support business requirements
Nice-To-Have Skills:

Databases: MS-SQL and Oracle is an asset

worked in Agile environment
Soft Skills:
• The candidate must also possess good analytical, problem solving and communication skills, and be able to interact efficiently with other team members and the user community. The candidate should also be a quick learner, self-motivated and results oriented, and able to work independently.
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related field required
