Typical Day in Role / Responsibilities:

• Work closely with end users, and business teams to understand business needs, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments as needed

• Partner with Architecture on understanding the design and integration

• Create impact analysis document, User stories, Design workflows for implementation

• Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications

• Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation

• Understand existing database schema, identify gaps and recommend solutions

• Design test cases and automate where possible, including functional and non-functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testing

• Support the solution in production (as needed)

• Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries.

• Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences

• Coach and train end users (as needed).

• Participate and run SCRUM Meetings (as needed).

 

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

  1. Over 10 Years of Experience in capital markets, specifically with foreign exchange (FX). This experience likely includes understanding market dynamics, trading, risk management, back-office workflows and regulatory requirements related to FX.

  2. Expertise on Back office in their recent projects - should be well-versed in these processes and have hands on experience with the systems and software used to manage them.

  3. This requirement focuses on the ability to interact with various stakeholders, such as clients, team members, and other departments. It involves gathering business requirements, documenting them clearly, and designing workflows to ensure smooth operations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential here.

  4. Recent PL SQL experience - writing and optimizing queries, creating stored procedures, and managing database operations.

 

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Wallstreet systems experience is a great asset.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills to work across different business lines and with different users

  • Strong ability to work under pressure

  • A ‘go getter’ personalities who can solve problems and think outside the box.

 

Best vs average: The ideal candidate will have very strong Wallstreet experience and Back-office experience.

 

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field / Financial education background
